Re: Robo-advisors recommendations

I would not invest into an Index fund. We called them loss leaders when I was a Fidelity. It gets you in the door and I have never met a person worht more than 5M that owns indexes funds. I would target screens 'thoughtful indexes'). A screen can look for companies with good cash flow, lots of cash ...

Re: Questions regarding investing in Japan or US for US citizens / GC holders

You post probably requires some discussion in more detail.
Generally I would say you are better off investing in the USA and not Japan.
Try Charles Schwab or even Vanguard. Wells Fargo I find does not generally give great guidance.

Like UIT's in the USA? I would stay away from them, now that ETFs exist and you can buy directly into the private markets now.
If it is a UIT in the USA, then I would steer towards the ETFs RPG and DGRW in the USA(only if you have a 10 years investment horizon and want growth).

Charles Schwab will work with you and they are virtually almost free. There are ways to incur a fee, but you really have to try.

Re: Robo-advisors recommendations

I have never seen a robo nor index perform well. I would be fired if my clients dropped 30% in a bad market. 1M to 700K?
Look for screens(thoughtful indexes). RPG , DGRW.
