Re: NISA a bad idea for mortgage holders?

I have a mortgage at a very low interest rate. I have investments which are growing at a much higher rate.
I hope this will continue for another 20 years, but understand that there will be ups and downs along the way. Isn't this normal?

Re: MooMoo vs Rakuten as NISA broker

Rakuten's gamble on mobile phone service has not been successful yet. Their finance-related businesses are healthy, and there has been some debate about whether this segment should be spun out and listed separately. https://global.rakuten.com/corp/investors/financial/segment.html Anyway, I wouldn't ...

Re: U.K. Class 2 National Insurance to be abolished

No idea what is going on but fell like I have won ...

Re: Can NICs application cause a residency challenge?

Thank you for your feedback! So I wonder what class (2 or 3) a person would receive if they were doing say: A) A part-time job B) A collection of part-time jobs C) Freelance work Th other thing is I may no longer have physical proof (like payslips) of employment that happened a really really long t...

Re: Competing for a property with multiple buyers

We put a deposit down and that secured our 'first come. first served' status. There were 2 other families who also wanted our house but we paid the deposit first.

Good luck with it.

That should do it. I gave them a screenshot before of the transaction details from an overseas financial institution.
It was all done via email. They send you an email once they initially stop the funds aimed for your Sony bank account.

Re: Tax Avoision (“…I say, ‘Avoision’”)

I’m Canadian (or simply not Japanese) living in Japan on a work visa (non PR) and I inherit a house, in Canada, from my now-deceased father. Japan insists that I report this on my Japanese taxes? The topic of inheritance, taxes due etc has been covered a number of times here. You have to check to s...
