Re: Switching mobile phone operators

is anybody doing the cheap carrier deal with an iphone? I'm currently on AU with an Iphone but want to lower my bills. I want to keep going with Iphones for the camera and the apps I have for it. I'm using an iPhone X with UQ Mobile. I was previously using my iPhone 6s with them. With an iPhone 6s,...

Re: Switching mobile phone operators

Here's a comparison which uses the same model phone, and does the test at the same time in the same location. Looks like they run the test every week, but they're on break at the moment.

Re: Switching mobile phone operators

UQ Mobile (iPhone X - Hiroshima)
53.2 Mbps down 8.75 Mbps up

I do believe that population density and time of day are going to play a huge part in these results though.

Re: Tsumitate NISA

I got my Rakuten Tsumitate NISA up and running the other day. You can choose to invest every month by paying from your bank, Rakuten credit card (to get the points), or directly from your Rakuten brokerage. Unfortunately, if you read the fine print, you do not get any points for using your Rakuten ...

Re: Asset allocations

Yeah man, looks good to me. I'm a fan of keeping it as simple as possible, but I wouldn't put too much weight on what I have to say here, I'm pretty new at this too, so just do your research and buy what you're happy with.

Re: Asset allocations

Looks pretty good, you've seen my allocation in the nisa thread (although I didn't put in percentages). When it comes to expense ratios, anything under 0.2% I'm fine with. Trying to min max everything seems like to much effort, for what is likely to be little gain. Also if you're happy with that muc...

Re: Which is the best NISA provider, and why?

You are likely to hit a similar hurdle with rakuten. Their online application only allows something like 10 characters total for both your names. But, if you input as much as you can, they will call to check your details, at that time you can give them your full name and they'll make a note of it. A...

Re: Delisting

I really should have paid attention to all those corporate action announcements! It's a pity, 1582 was doing pretty well for me. Well I guess I'll need to find another emerging. Maybe I'll just put it in the rakuten-vanguard one. From the looks of the black rock website, they're not delisting all et...

Re: Post your NISA holdings/results

Robster, A lot of what you read is written by Americans, for Americans, where Vanguard is a great choice. But as RetireJapan said, it's not as if they're index funds are the be all and end all. An index fund tracks an index, the Vanguard 500 fund (VOO) tracks the S&P 500 index buy holding stocks...
