After reading and understanding a bit more about what I was actually investing in, it turned out it was not FOREX but that I was actually buying MET stocks every month. Hence the price in Dollar. Just wanted to add a few points regarding opening an account in the US, in case that's something you're still considering. In my experience, opening a brokerage account with a US firm as a non-US citizen living in Japan is practically impossible, with Interactive Brokers being the notable exception....
