Re: SBI iDeCo funds portfolio. Anyone willing to help?
In short, if you want say 5% Japanese equity exposure, is there a reason to get that through a balance fund, rather than a plain simple Japanese equities fund? Same for each of the components in the balance fund. If you don’t even want to be bothered manually rebalancing once a year, perhaps that c...

Re: SBI iDeCo funds portfolio. Anyone willing to help?
I think it’s fine because it’s build around allocations to global equity while including some exposure to Japanese equity through the balanced fund. But I think some forum members will recommend you to select cheaper — or the cheapest — funds. The decision regarding how much fees you’re willing to ...

Re: SBI iDeCo funds portfolio. Anyone willing to help?
Well, after getting diverted a bit from the originally purpose of this post, I will come to that again. I was thinking about some of the advices I was told in the thread and I came up with another new portfolio. I think it's much more aggressive than the first draft, which was: - 35% for DCインデックスバラン...

Re: SBI iDeCo funds portfolio. Anyone willing to help?
Actually, it seems that rebalance/switching can be done once per month if you want to. The restriction iDeCo has once a year is for changing the monthly contribution, according to their official page in English: Source: https://www.ideco-koushiki.jp/english/ Wow, that must be new! Hadn't seen the E...

Re: SBI iDeCo funds portfolio. Anyone willing to help?
Actually does anyone know how often you’re allowed to rebalance iDeCo? I am not completely sure about that frequency. Re: SBI iDeCo funds portfolio. Anyone willing to help?
I just realised you may have been asking about rebalancing the account (called 'switching' by providers). You can do this in your account. You choose which investments to sell, and which to buy. It's relatively easy. I just did it for my daughter -her account was set to automatically invest in cash...

Re: SBI iDeCo funds portfolio. Anyone willing to help?
Hi Dan and RetireJapan, and thanks for your answers, Actually I did know about that I cannot get the money until I reach 60, maybe I formulated the question in the wrong way (English is not my native language). Putting my words into an example, let's assume that I just contribute every month with 23...

Re: SBI iDeCo funds portfolio. Anyone willing to help?
Good morning Dan, Thank you for your reply. I really appreciate it! After your answer I had a look at the SBI EXE-i funds for developed markets equity fund and it looks nice. I am thinking about pulling it in and remove one of the four I took. All in all, I have not sent yet the letter with all my c...

SBI iDeCo funds portfolio. Anyone willing to help?
Hi, this is my first comment here, I applied for an SBI account and I got a lot of links and information about the funds line-up for iDeCo, which is impressively long and they are providing the information for each and every one of them, along with the past month rentabilities. I have to say that it...
