SBI and changing monthly payments

Post by sytyue »

Hi,

I am new to Ideco and was wondering if any SBI users can tell me how to change my monthly payment. I started off with a smaller amount but would like to increase it now. I read on the website that you are allow to do this once a year and I am about 4 months into my first year.

Thanks.

sytyue, if you can read Japanese, you can request the forms to do this from the SBI home page.

From the iDeCo tab, click 変更手続き --> 各種変更手続きのご案内(加入者さま向け)--> 掛金関係.

Thank you this post. I have found this info useful too.
sytyue, have you processed the paper work?

Actually, I would like to increase my monthly payments. Is it only possible to do this once a year?

Also, how about contributing a lump sum? I have some allowance ready to invest if this is an option.

I believe you can only change your monthly payment once a year. It can take a while for this to be processed.

I don't think there is currently an option to invest a lump sum, although I believe it is currently being considered (as a bonus payment kind of thing).
