Japanese book recommendations

Post by zeroshiki »

Anyone have recommendations for a beginner book in Japanese? NISA or iDECO or passive investing in general would be great. I want to subtly push my brother-in-law to invest but he's the super conservative Japanese type that even thinks having money in the bank is the highest level of risk he should take.

I'm a big fan of Takekawa Minako: https://amzn.to/3fxxtlS

Her iDeCo and NISA books are really solid.

Great! Was trying to remember this author you had mentioned before. Do you have a specific book of hers you felt was beginner friendly?

I have read a few of Mr. Asakura’s books (you may know him if you watch Tokyo TV’s Morning Satellite: https://www.amazon.co.jp/本-朝倉-智也/s?rh=n ... 27%3A朝倉+智也

He seems to be a fan of US ETFs, when one gets beyond NISA and IDeCo investing.

I have a reservation on his latest ETF book from my local library but it is so popular it will be out of date by the time it comes to me :)
