Did all country's management go down 90% in a year or am I going crazy?
That's amazing news for us.

On Rakuten its still 0.05775% so not sure if what SBI is telling you is the full amount or there's some variance per broker.

It's not a message saying they are reducing the management fees, but a message about how SBI are going to be paying back a lower rate of T-Points to their customers holding those funds in response to the recent eMAXIS fee reduction. See my posts here.

I take the chance to ask something that has been bugging me for a while.

I buy my eMaxis Slim all countries on Rakuten.

When do the fees (0.05775% ? ) affect me?
At the time of buying and then later on at the time of selling?

Or is a recurring annual fee which will affect the amount of shares I own over time?

I know it is a very basic question, but I am still struggling with the basics apparently.

According to investopedia
How often are mutual fund management fees charged?
A shareholder pays the fee on a daily basis through an automatic reduction in the price of a fund. It can be difficult for the average investor to get a feel for how much is being paid for any particular fund. Mutual-fund expense ratios vary greatly from one investment category to another.

Thank you zeroshiki.

Obviously I am below average when it comes to investing.

I used the wording in your reply to ask chatGPT for clarifications ... that helped too.
I have read several books on the matter, I have zero doubts on the importance of low fees, but I haven't had a "aha!" moment, yet.

Good thing I am already buying the cheapest one, so that I have no reasons to worry even if I do not understand its mechanics.

I was there, mikele3, and asked a similar question in this topic:

Looks like the trust management fees for eMaxis Slim mutual funds have been reduced. Your investment will cost you less. Always nice to see those fees come down.
