Why don’t you just contact the United Kingdom Embassy directly instead of asking a bunch of strangers on the Internet? Seems more direct, no? Go there in person.

They do not deal with passport applications and will not give advice.

Because the United Kingdom Embassy has sod all to do with issuing passports, and often the internet has information from strangers who can share recent practical advice.
