I perhaps, naively thought that you could roll-over any kind of investment (funds / stocks) from the old NISA into the new NISA. (I know for example that stocks aren't allowed in the new NISA - but thought that was only for totally new investments but roll=overs were allowed).
You can buy stocks in the 2nd tranche of New NISA. Not many things are excluded, basically investments that the FSA has decided are not good for consumers (leveraged ETFs and similar, I believe).

Hi All
Thanks! for the comments, I have a better understanding of this now
I will switch to the T-NISA next year, (I am 53 years of age but i guess its not too relevevant)
I will only put Equity in the T-NISA and bonds in the taxable account.
Does anyone know if the All Country Equity index is in the T-NISA?

There should be a global equity index fund. If you tell us who your broker is - then someone will tell you if it eMaxis or not.

SBI iDeCo fund lineup is here (for the Select Plan, which is the newer lineup. If you are on the older plan might be worth upgrading to the Select one): https://www.dcnenkin.jp/search/product. ... &item=223C

They don't offer eMaxis Slim All-Country, so the SBI・全世界株式インデックス・ファンド(雪だるま(全世界株式))might be the best all in one option.
