Have you considered settting up a redirect for the time being from https://www.retirejapan.com/ to index.php or the .info homepage?

I keep going to the .com instead of .info version by mistake, and ending up at the placeholder page.

It'll probably also help your google ranking.

If I can make a suggestion, I would also automatically redirect all http requests to retirejapan.com to their https counterpart... Nobody wants to send their forum password in plain text!

Nope, if I enter http://www.retirejapan.com/forum into my URL bar, I am directed to the forum using a non-secure connection. Just confirmed to be sure.

Thank you for creating this forum as it is very helpful for Non-Japanese people like me to find relevant information about the country we live in.

Most of the English information on the web is towards the US citizens living in Japan and hence not relevant to all of us who are Non-Americans! Way to go and keep up the good work
