Kousei Nenkin contribution cap

Hi. I’ve seen info on various sites (including the Japan pension site) attempting to clarify the baffling calculations to get an idea of Employee Pension Insurance coverage upon retirement. I thought I’d cracked it, then noticed that there’s yet another calculation required for figuring this out if you happen to earn an average salary of more than JPY650k pm. That led me to wonder whether there’s a cap on the amount you could receive (JPY650k pm being that cap) on retirement, regardless of contributions made. Anyone have any ideas?
