Help with annual iDeCo statement

Post by Roger Van Zant »

I received my annual iDeCo statement today from JIS&T.
I have it through MONEX.
I have been paying in for two years now.

I pay 12,000 yen per month (maximum I am allowed) into the eMAxis Slim All Country fund.

Can someone take a look at the pages I have scanned and help me out?

https://ibb.co/PQGVhcK
https://ibb.co/StXjzHz
https://ibb.co/xs12FjB
https://ibb.co/vBq4xZj

Link #1 shows several different amounts.
I am guessing 284,081 is how much I have invested?
281,199 is how much I have actually paid in?
And 2,882 is the profit I have made?
What is the 284,147 to the right of the pie chart? What does 時価評価額 mean?

Link #3 shows how much I have been paying in each month.
What is 約定単価 and 精算金額?
For example, in December, 購入 is 7,064, 約定単価 is 16,746, and 精算金額 is 11,829.
How are these numbers arrived at?
Also, why is 再投資 0 in April?

Do all the fees look reasonable and above board?

Thank you.

I recommend just doing an image embed because linking makes it hard to see. Just put the images under a quote so it won't be too large.

a. 284041 is the value of your holdings
b. 281199 is how much money has been put into your iDeCo account
c. 2882 is your profit/loss

d. 288000 is how much money you actually put in
e. 6801 are the iDeCo fees

f. 284147 is the value of your holdings at the moment the report was created, not exactly sure why that's different from A

g. 約定単価 is the value per 100 units of eMaxis Slim you were buying when you bought it. This is effectively unimportant.
h. 11829 is what you actually paid.

i. I don't know what 再投資 is doing there but I assume there's a function with your iDeCo provider or something that does automatic dividend reinvesting but eMaxis Slim gives 0 dividends so its not important.

This is very useful.

Why are (b) and (d) different?

Its minus the fees.

Why are (b) and (d) different?
(d) - ideco fees (e) = (b); so effectively since inception you are down 3,919 instead of up 2,882.

Oh well, could be worse, I suppose!

To answer this question, the 66 yen difference reflects the as-yet-uncollected administrative fee that applies to the reported year (it is listed at the top of the second image). Such "estimated" amounts are often included on necessary tax documents, e.g. the October notifications people receive for kokumin nenkin payments -- if you pay monthly premiums, presumed payments for the rest of the year are also listed, making year-end adjustments possible for employees who pay dependents' premiums and obviating the need for a second notification when payments are actually made).
