Hi, a friend of mine is seeking an English speaking doctor for potential depression. Do any of you have any recommendations for a good doctor in Tokyo? Additionally, if you've supported a loved one or friend through overcoming depression, I'd appreciate any advice you could offer.

Thank you so much.

This office comes highly recommended from a friend of mine.

I've heard that TELL is not very good... the experience one of my friends had was not very positive. Try the one above.

Hi, A friend just shared about this doctor. He does take Japanese national insurance.

Joseph Jun Nakagawa (JJ), M.D., Ph.D. has a wealth of experience in general adolescent and adult psychiatry over 15 years. JJ graduated from Tokyo Medical and Dental University (TMDU) in 2005 (M.D.) and received a Ph.D. in 2017 from his alma mater. He experienced an externship program at Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women's Hospital (Boston, U.S.) as well as an educational program at the Naval Air Facility Atsugi, Japan.

This doctor is a psychiatrist in Tokyo that he opened his clinic last month.
He is bilingual, skilled, experienced and a great counselor.
