Post by concerned »

Hi All
I submitted the application form for this, the next day after receiving this and am still waiting.....
My friend in Naka-Ku Yokohama received his one month ago. I live in Tzuzuki-Ku in Yokohama
Just wondering are others still waiting for this?
Thanks

Did you check your city website?

Payment is delayed in many cities, and there is usually detailed information as to when payments will be made. My Ku has said application made after X date will not be processed til some time in August.

Paper forms are also processed much slower than those who applied electronically.

Depends on the local authority and in some cases your address. Sendai City processed the ones here according to the area, and as we're on the edge of the city we were one of the last to get ours. It arrived in my bank account last Friday.

You can probably check online.

89% complete as per yesterday but no published targets when to complete.
Let's hope your supplied bank account was a darn close match to the name on your 住民票.

I'm a little further south in Yokosuka, but it took about 6 weeks from the time I submitted online to the time that I got it. Hope you get yours soon!

Its best to use English name for your bank account... as when using Katakana always an issue...

Nooo, most places expect Katakata. So I would say use Katakata, and make sure you get it right.

In fact, in my experience even when a romaji account name is accepted during registration, they still use katakata for the purposes of bank transfers, making it even more confusing...
